As Senior Vice President for US Commercial at Cisco, Bill and his team are responsible for driving profitable growth and transformation through the sale of Cisco’s products and services to a diverse group of business accounts, ranging from small and medium-sized businesses, to Fortune 1000 companies. Bill leads a team of more than 2,000 field resources across the US, including, sales, engineering, marketing, and support programs that contribute to over $6B in annual Cisco product and service sales. With more than 21 years of sales and leadership experience at Cisco, including a number of leadership roles spanning Cisco’s Commercial, Enterprise, and Global customers, Bill brings a proven record of success and broad understanding of Cisco’s customer segments, partner organization, and key technology trends. In every role, Bill’s people principles are resolute– cultivate diversity and inclusivity and foster a culture of curiosity, learning, and teamwork. Prior to his current role, Bill led Cisco’s Commercial West Area where he was responsible for all field sales and engineering spanning 13 states and totaling $1.6B of Cisco's annual revenue. His inclusive and authentic leadership style drove segment-leading performance for three straight years. At the helm of many transformational initiatives, Bill also led the company's software and services pilot, an initiative instrumental in shaping Cisco’s software transformation. Bill started his Cisco career leading a Dot-Com team in NYC and eventually took on greater responsibility with a variety of different positions including Global Sales Manager for the NY Finance Region and Regional Sales Director for the Tristate Select Operation. Prior to Cisco, Bill began his career in sales at Cabletron Systems. Bill was born in Connecticut and grew up in New Hampshire. He has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of New Hampshire. Bill enjoys spending time with his wife Christine and their three daughters, along with golfing, hiking, and anything close to the ocean.
